Why You'll Love This Cream
This silky DIY cream is based on ready-made aloe vera gel, which means there’s no need for complicated emulsifying – the oils blend effortlessly with the gel.
It’s perfect for all skin types and won't clog pores, but if you have dry or mature skin, you’re going to absolutely love it.
It spreads beautifully, leaving a silky, protective layer on the skin — not greasy, just incredibly nourishing.
I personally use it both morning and evening, and after 2 months, my skin feels:
-
Deeply hydrated
-
Softer and firmer
-
Noticeably smoother, with fine lines reduced
-
Clearer, with fewer breakouts
-
Glowing with a healthy look every morning
It’s a true multitasker:
It works great as a night cream, under makeup or sunscreen, for facial massage (with fingers or a gua sha), or even as a body cream. Just a small amount is enough for your entire body!
DIY Anti-Aging Cream Recipe
Ingredients (for 100g):
-
10g Jojoba oil
-
10g Beef tallow (or for vegan version: use 16g shea butter instead)
-
6g Shea butter
-
4g Squalane
-
57g Aloe vera gel (Shop here)
-
10g Glycerin
-
1g Green tea extract (~14 drops)
-
1g Vitamin E (~20 drops)
-
0.5g Xanthan gum
-
6 drops Benzoin essential oil (or another essential oil you like)
-
5 drops Preservative (Dehydroacetic Acid and Benzyl Alcohol, DHA BA)
Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Melt the oils:
Measure 10g of beef tallow, 6g of shea butter, and 10g of jojoba oil.
Gently melt them in a water bath — just until liquid, without boiling. -
Add the water-based ingredients:
Once melted, add 4g of squalane, 57g of aloe vera gel, and 10g of glycerin. -
Boost the formula:
Add 1g of green tea extract and 1g of vitamin E for their powerful antioxidant and nourishing properties. -
Blend well:
Mix everything thoroughly using a hand mixer. -
Stabilize the cream:
Add 0.5g of xanthan gum to prevent separation and mix again. -
Add fragrance and preservation:
Add 6 drops of benzoin essential oil for a lovely scent and soothing effects.
Then add 5 drops of your chosen preservative. -
Final mixing:
Blend one last time. The cream will thicken naturally as it cools. -
Transfer and store:
Pour the cream into a clean, disinfected jar.
Store at room temperature and use within 2 months (or 3 weeks if you skip the preservative).
Important Tips:
Store the cream at room temperature or in the fridge for cooling effect and longer shelf life.
-
If you add the preservative, it will stay fresh for about 2 months.
-
Without a preservative, make a smaller batch and use it within 3 weeks.
-
Always disinfect all utensils and containers before use.
-
Patch test first if you have sensitive or allergy-prone skin!
