3 Easy Natural Lip Balm Recipes – Cooling, Vegan Red Tint & Chocolate

These balms are non-sticky, deeply nourishing, and give your lips a satin-smooth finish.

1. Cooling Mint Lip Balm
A transparent, nourishing balm that softens lips and gives a refreshing, cooling sensation. The mint essential oil can also make lips appear fuller.
Ingredients (for 5 g)

1 g beeswax
-
1 g cocoa butter
-
1.5 g coconut oil
-
1.5 g castor oil
-
1 drop vitamin E
-
1 drop peppermint essential oil (optional)
Instructions

Place beeswax, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and castor oil in a heatproof glass.

Melt in a water bath, stirring gently.

Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then add vitamin E and peppermint essential oil.

Stir well and pour into a 5 g lip balm container (place in a water bath for a moment if is hardening to fast).

Let set completely (this balm will be on the harder side, perfect for stick tubes).
2. Vegan Red Tinted Lip Balm
A silky vegan balm with a subtle red tint. Perfect for everyday use.
Ingredients (for 5 g)

1.3 g soy wax

1 g mango butter
-
1 g coconut oil
-
1.2 g castor oil
-
0.3 g red mica powder
-
2 drops vitamin E
Instructions

Melt soy wax, mango butter, coconut oil, and castor oil in a water bath.

Add mica powder and stir until smooth.

Remove from heat and add vitamin E.

Mix well, pour into a container, and refrigerate for about 20 minutes to set.
3. Chocolate Lip Balm
A rich balm with a soft brown tint, delicious cocoa aroma, and a balanced texture.
Ingredients (for 5 g)

0.8 g beeswax
-
0.5 g soy wax
-
1 g cocoa butter
-
2 g jojoba oil
-
0.2 g cocoa powder
-
0.2 g brown mica powder
-
0.2 g zinc oxide powder (to reduce shine and boost coverage)

1 drop vitamin E
Instructions

Melt beeswax, soy wax, cocoa butter, and jojoba oil in a water bath.

Add cocoa powder, mica powder, and zinc oxide, stirring until combined.
-
Remove from heat, stir in vitamin E, then pour into a container.

Let set at room temperature or refrigerate for faster results.
Tip: You can mix the two tinted balms — apply the chocolate one along the edges of your lips and the red one in the middle — for a fuller, gradient effect.
